Computer will not boot?
Quoted mega bucks by your local computer store to get important files back from a computer that will not boot?
If a computer will not boot then the traditional method of recovering the data is to remove the hard drive from the computer and attach it to another computer. The hard drive can then be scanned for lost data with a third party file recovery utility. The disadvantage of this approach is that the user requires a level of technical understanding to enable them to physically remove the hard drive, and then reconnect it to another computer. The only option up until now was a trip to the local costly computer store or saying goodbye to your precious data.
The FileRestore for Networks BootDisk makes this approach redundant. If a computer fails to boot, then a bootable CD/DVD or USB device can be created and inserted into the failed computer and the recovery service started. When the recovery service is running, the failed computer can be connected to with FileRestore for Networks, and the drives scanned for lost data. When the data has been detected it can then be recovered and saved to a healthy drive.
Creating a Drive Image
Looking to recover a copy of a partition and all of its data from a computer that will not boot?
If a computer will not boot then a FileRestore for Networks BootDisk can be created and the recovery service started on the computer. With the recovery service running, the computer can be connected to and an image file of each of the partitions on the disk or the entire disk can be created. The image files can then be scanned for the lost data, or the contents written to another disk. If a data drive has been lost then the drive can be imaged and written to a healthy drive. The resultant drive will now be an exact copy of the original drive.
